Igniting Young Minds: TLS Rohtak's Senior Debate Competition
Four teams, one debate floor, and a set of ecological questions with no easy answers.

A good debate does something a lecture never can — it forces you to genuinely understand a position you might not agree with. That's the real value TLS Rohtak's Senior Debate Competition brings to its Class 9–12 students.
Four student teams went head-to-head, tackling complex ecological issues with research, rhetoric, and a level of preparation that showed in how quickly they could respond under pressure. The topics weren't simple, and the debaters didn't try to make them sound simple — they engaged with the actual complexity of the issues instead.
“Tackling complex ecological issues with research and rhetoric.”
Debate at this level isn't really about winning a round. It's about building the habits that shape future leaders: the ability to research a position, argue it clearly, and respond to counterarguments with respect instead of defensiveness.
Kudos to every participant who brought passion and preparation to the debate floor. Your voices are the future — and today, they sounded like it.
