TLS Loves Deed: Elocution and Poem Recitation Take Over the Stage

TLS successfully conducted the DEED Competition, an ongoing platform built to polish students' linguistic and presentation skills — the kind of practice that pays off well beyond a single competition.
Students of Forms 6 to 8 took on the Elocution Contest, delivering thought-provoking speeches with a level of clarity, expression, and confidence that made the age gap with senior students feel smaller than expected. Forms 1 to 5, meanwhile, lit up the stage with Poem Recitations, each one showcasing expressive delivery and real creativity.
The competition's real target was LSRW — Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing — developed effectively and creatively rather than drilled by rote. The performances were met with genuine applause and appreciation, a fair reflection of the dedication and enthusiasm the young learners brought to the stage.
